Emerging metalcore brutalizers fallfiftyfeet have shared the third cut from their pending sophomore LP, Counterfeit Recollections.

The May 2nd release was produced with Andy Nelson at the helm and breathes new life into the world of traditional metalcore - asserting a more primal, less polished version of heavy music's more palatable point of entry.

Issuing a succession of audio fury, previews in "Running From the Sky", "Purgatory Blues" and the album's frenetic title track showcase a variation of metalcore that prioritizes technicality and conveys a sense of urgency in its soundtrack.

For the band's latest entry from the album, "The Kingsport Curse" launches an onslaught of meaty groove, discordant harmonics, tempo shifts and walloping breakdowns in what explodes like a sonic molotov atypical of most metalcore.

Guitarist James Becca offered some insight to the caustic quality of the latest single. "To put it bluntly: This is all of the frustration and disdain we have for the ones that have failed us, amalgamated into one pissed off song."

Becca added of the track, "Just sort of a fuck you to the past, a fuck you to the government, a fuck you to anyone who holds you back from being yourself and growing.”

The sophomore full length from fallfiftyfeet in Counterfeit Recollections builds on the acclaim amassed last year from the band's split release with Wounded Touch. Embracing their DIY ethos and their commitment to the road, the band has cultivated a strong kinship and supportive community - reflected in the roster of guest collaborations on the pending album.

With submissions from 156/Silence, PRINCESS, and buriedbutstillbreathing  Counterfeit Recollections is upending conventional metalcore with the kind of technical savvy and unrelenting heft long missing from the pedestrian version of the category.

Counterfeit Recollections arrives May 2nd.
