Modern deathcore and slam pushers Crown Megnetar continue their charge towards the September 25th arrival of their third full length studio album, The Hollowing Of Godflesh.
Thus far launching three detonating singles dating back to last year, "Desecrate Infinite" kicked down the door, while "Impaled Genesis" and "Godkiller" brought on pure destruction in ushering in the modern era of the band.
Now, the Colorado collective has submitted yet another vicious entry with their latest show of force in "Shut Up and Bleed". Combining the band's obvious technical prowess with their love of all sounds brutal, the track is another punishing example of the brutality packaged on the new album.
Frontman Dan Tucker explains the themes that drive such a devastating single. "Corruption made permanent. A corrupt entity is condemned within its own form. Its hollow interior filled and hardened until flesh becomes a living tomb. Unable to move, unable to die, it remains conscious and imprisoned in the exact moment of agony. A being with no escape and no reprieve. Shut up and bleed."
The vocalist went onto discuss the importance of the new album how it is most indicative of the band's true identity.
'The Hollowing of Godflesh' is the most complete representation of Crown Magnetar we've ever put together. We pushed every aspect of our songwriting further without losing the intensity and rawness that defines the band. We wanted to take what people expect from us and push it further by adding more atmosphere, bigger moments, and even more aggression without sacrificing anything."
In support of The Hallowing of Godflesh, the technical deathcore collective have announced a co-headlining run with To The Grave on the Sawed Off Suffering Tour set for this fall. The extensive run opposite Vegan deathcore unit To The Grave will feature added support from Face Yourself as well as I Declare War, Ameonna, Tracheotomy, Backbiter and Squelching on select dates.
