Hailing from the epicenter of Nardcore, Oxnard outfit Dead Heat have announced they have signed with heavy culture authority, Metal Blade Records. Riding high on the strength of the band's 2023 release Endless Torment, the Triple B Records/ Tankcrimes project garnered universal acclaim as one crossover's most exciting, emerging practitioners. 

Sourcing elements of thrash, punk, hardcore, and metal Dead Heat jas earned a reputation for energized live sets, combined with the band's DIY ethos and blue collar work ethic. Taking notice of the band's talent with tenacity, aggression with authenticity, Metal Blade Records sought to make Dead Heat the latest addition to their iconic roster. 

Metal Blade A&R Ryan Williams made his enthusiasm of the acquisition more than apparent. "DEAD HEAT fucking slays; it's an honor to welcome them to the Metal Blade family."

As for the band, the significance of the career move is one they are keenly aware of. Vocalist Christian Ramos said, "To be part of a label that has put out some of our favorite records and has had some of our favorite artists is without words an absolute honor!" Dead Heat guitarist Justin Ton added, "We're on the same label that birthed Slayer and put Metallica on the map. It's an honor."

While working on their Metal Blade Records debut, Dead Heat is set to hit the road for a stretch of live dates both home and aboard. The band will play a one-off show supporting Body Count later this month then will join Drain, Terror, Angel Dust, and End It for a stretch of dates in June. Later this summer, Dead Heat will head overseas for a European headlining run. A full list of dates can be found below.
