Dropkick Murphys Team With Pennywise for Fall North American Tour

Dropkick Murphys Team With Pennywise for Fall North American Tour

- By Ramon Gonzales

The announcement adds to the band's healthy touring slate that ihcludes appearances at Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life and Aftershock Festivals this year.

Perennial Irish punks Dropkick Murphys have been on a persistent touring stretch in support of their latest releases, This Machine Still Kills Fascists--and their follow-up album Okemah Rising. Earlier this year, the band joined forces with West Coast punk veterans Pennywise for a live run of dates that proved one of the most effective pairings in the genre.

Revisiting that magic, the two bands have announced plans to again team up, this time for a stretch of fall dates across North America to punctuate the year. The run will kick of September 24th in New York City and close out a month later with an Amherst, MA hometown set on October 27th. The run will also include support from Dublin-based rock band The Scratch.

For Dropkick, the tour adds to an already comprehensive slate of live dates of which include several festival appearances both international and domestic. The band will spend the early portion of the summer performing European festival dates in June and July. Dropkick then return to North America for Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival in Mansfield, OH, Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI, the New York State Fair, Envol et Macadam in Quebec City, Quebec as well as Louder Than Life in and Aftershock in Sacramento, CA.

Tickets for the Dropkick Murphys North American Fall Tour with Pennywise are set to go on sale starting May 24th at 10am local time. The complete list of newly announced dates can be found below.
