Few bands are as fun as Foxy Shazam and now, the greater DC cinematic universe will know it too. Enlisted by director James Gunn, Foxy Shazam's Eric Nally makes a cameo alongside Lou Lou Safran to front Metropolis' biggest band, The MIghty Crabjoys.
The Crabjoys have long been part of DC lore and with the new theatric iteration of Superman, Gunn took the opportunity to merge the worlds and highlight a band that he has long championed in Foxy Shazam.
Playing an integral part of the updated Superman saga, Foxy Shazam has recorded "The Might Crabjoys Theme. Further featured in the universe from James Gunn, Foxy Shazam's music is also included in the upcoming season of Peacemaker starring John Cena. The track "Oh Lord," featured on the trailer for the August premiere.
Nally spoke about the opportunity to have Fixy Shazam framed in such an important way. “Having the opportunity to work with James Gunn and Lou Lou creatively on music was really special and very complimentary. The whole notion of The Mighty Crabjoys and blurring the lines of how a band can exist is really exciting.”
