Leaning into the nostalgia and the enduring influence of the early 2000's, Hawthorne Heights have doubled down on their Is For Lovers Tour with the confirmation of the 20 Years of Tears anniversary tour. The mammoth run spans some 56-different cities spanning the summer months and will feature a staggeringly stacked supporting line-up intended to "celebrate the music of the Myspace generation".
Kicking off with the Lake Tahoe edition of their annual Is For Lovers fest, Hawthorne Heights will perform their debut album, The Silence in Black and White in full for the June 22nd date and revisit the album nightly for the duration of the run. Combining club dates with interspersed Is for Lovers festival plays, Hawthorne Heights' frontman JT Woodruff explains the especially ambitious endeavor that has become a passion project.
“20 Years of Tears is a celebration of the genre that raised an entire generation, with basement-born bands to stadium headliners. Emo comes in all shapes and sizes and has touched the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life. With some of the biggest names of the MySpace Generation, this lineup is designed to give you the energy you had while feeling so misunderstood, as a ‘misguided’ youth. This is not just a summer concert, it is a must-see event that can reignite the fire inside all of us as we sing and scream together like it's 2004.”
The 20 Years of Tears Tour will see the core headlining unit of Hawthorne Heights along with Thursday, Saosin and Anberlin, flanked by the likes of I See Stars, Cartel, Armor for Sleep, Stick To Your Guns, Emery and This Wild Life rounding out the stellar supporting ensemble.
Tickets for the 20 Years of Tears Tour will go on sale April 19, at 10am local time. Additional information, VIP packages and a complete list of dates and cities can be found at Hawthorneheights.com
