One of the UK's most formidable heavy music prospects, Heriot continue their tear since the announcement of their signing to Century Media Records late last year. Following the unveiling of commanding tracks like "Demure" and their CM debut in the crushing "Soul Chasm", the band have doubled down on their next showing with the release of "Siege Lord".
Bolstered by the expertise of Sylosis architect Josh Middleton and celebrated producer Wil Putney, the latest single showcases Heriot's meld of metallic hardcore and sludgey heft - strengthened by the dual vocal attack of Jake Packer and Debbie Gough.
Detailing the band's ambitions with the single, "Siege Lord" offers an indication of where the band are headed sonically, while enduring they retain the creative core that has propelled the them thus far. "'Siege Lord’ is a track we feel expands on our previous releases, leaning heavily into the more metallic elements of our sound. It’s a visceral yet atmospheric track. Lyrically, ‘Siege Lord’ contemplates the fragility of soul searching."
The latest release begins a productive year for quartet. Heriot is confirmed for several prestigious festivals over the season including Rock Im Park/Rock Am Ring, Download in the UK, Resurrection Festival in Spain and Hellfest in France. Later this year, Heriot is confirmed to join Fit For An Autopsy and Sylosis for a year-ending EU/UK run along with special guests Darkest Hour.
