Horror metal flag bearers Ice Nine Kills have leveled up their link between sinister cinema and heavy music. The band have debuted the official track for the third installment of the Terrifier film franchise which features the horrific handywork of Art the Clown.
The aptly titled "A Work of Art" marked its official release in over 300 theaters nationwide during the exclusive, one-night-only, back-to-back screenings of Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3 at select AMC and Marcus theaters. The Damien Leone-directed slasher sees a wide release today, October 11th and further continues the cult-driven popularity of the especially gruesome film series.
Coupled with the release of the new single, Ice Nine Kills have connected with frequent collaborator Jensen Noen for an equally cinematic music video spanning a lengthy runtime of 14 minutes. The short film style clip features David Howard Thornton who plays Terrifier’s Art the Clown, Catherine Corcoran and Leah Voysey of previous Terrifier installments. The clip also features spots from Jose Mangin, Vincent Rockwell, Richard Christy (Drummer for Death, Control Denied, and Shavo Odadjian of System Of A Down - who also plays bass on the track.
Spencer Charnas spoke about the chance to become a part of the lore of the Terrifier film franchise and create a song that compliments the maniacal Art the Clown.
“Creating a track for Terrifier 3 is like stepping into the ultimate horror playground. The film and our new single, “A Work of Art”, reflect the same twisted, unrelenting energy that fans of both Ice Nine Kills and the Terrifier franchise thrive on. And having our music video play in theaters after the movie at special screenings last night was the ultimate honor and the best way to pay homage to the cinematic terror that has inspired me and this band."
Charnas also shared how the new visual for the single is pivotal for INK. "The extended cut of the video marks a new era of INK related terror, but what that means shall remain in my nightmares....for now. Psychos, we present to you what may well be our most glorious and goresome offering yet, sure to leave you both tongue-tied and terrified - "A Work of Art".”
The latest single for Ice Nine Kills pairs with the band's recent confirmation as part of the 2025 edition of Metallica's M72 World Tour. INK will team with Limp Bizkit for a series of stadium dates, supporting Metallica on their No Repeat Weekend format. A list of dates and cities can be found below. Get tickets - HERE
