In This Moment have launched their next iteration with the announcement of their ninth full length studio album, WITCH. The collection of tracks arrives August 28th and marks the band's debut outing via Better Noise Music.
Heralding the era of WITCH, In This Moment have submitted a massive introductory track with "Crawl" - another in the band's arsenal of anthems from throughout their storied career. Anchored by a powerhouse performance from vocalist Maria Brink, the single reiterates In This Moment's ability to pair power and pageantry.
The vocalist shared of the single, "'Crawl' is a reckoning — a reflection that those who dominate and cause pain will ultimately reap what they sow. As above, so below. The fall is inevitable. Bearing witness to the harm they inflict, the song declares that those who once stood tall will be brought to their knees."
ITM co-founder and guitarist Chris Howorth further added, "'Crawl' is a visceral track that delivers the undeniable observation of powerful entities dominating and abusing the weaker and compromised masses — something that continues to repeat itself throughout human history. The song empowers and, at its core, is about standing up and fighting back."
The arrival of WITCH follows the strides made on the 2023 LP, GODMODE and further secures the band's lofty rank among the genre's most vital, progressive units. On WITCH, In This Moment also enlist an elite roster of special guests, with features from Dayseeker on "I Want To Believe,"; Kim Dracula on "Heretic,"; and Kat Von D for a rendition of the Pink Floyd classic "Another Brick In The Wall."
Explaining the thematic weight of the album, Brink shares, "WITCH is my declaration of inner transformation. It's about embracing the duality within — taking pain, persecution, and struggle — and alchemizing them into strength and power. The album reflects both ancient trials and my own journey — where being a 'witch' means being a creator, connected to the universe, manifesting my own reality."
