Respected heavy music authority Metal Injection has announced their second annual namesake fesival. Following the successful launch of the inaugural event last year, Metal Injection is pairing their 20th anniversary with a two-day event set to take place at the Brooklyn Monarch and Meadows on September 21st and 22nd.

Touting an international assembly of 31 bands stretched across three stages, the second annual Metal Injection Festival is anchored by some of heavy music's most electrifying and enduring names. Sitting at the top of the 2024 billing, groove metal Goliath Jinjer is paired with the legendary Converge for a massive one-two of a headliner.

Among the additional standouts from the initial announcement include God Forbid performing Gone Forever for the first time in its entirety to mark the 20th anniversary of the record. 3 Inches of Blood will mark their East Coast return, performing for the first time in the region for over a decade.

Additionally, Metal Injection Festival will feature sets from Rivers of Nihil, Revocation, Hanabie, Born of Osiris and will include the global debut of Pallid Veil, the project includes Luc Lemay of Gorguts, Dave Davidson of Revocation, Liam Wilson of The Dillinger Escape Plan and In Flames, and Elliot Hoffman of Carbomb.

Metal Injection founder Frank Godia shared his excitement in seeing the second year come together. “Last year was an incredible way to kick things off for the Metal Injection Festival, and with this year being our 20th anniversary I decided to head back to our origins. This year, I bring this mammoth weekend to Brooklyn, NY with a celebration it’s never seen."

Godia, continued, "The list of artists and special sets on this roster is truly insane, and I couldn’t be happier about how this shaped up. Even the smallest bands on this roster excite the shit out of me, and will be household names. So here’s your chance to see what they’re made of the way I see them. I can’t wait to see y’all there!”

Metal Injection is also supporting HeadBang for Science. The scholarship initiative was founded by SiriusXM curator/host Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin in 2021 and awards high school seniors, undergrads and graduate students who are pursuing a career in healthcare and/or the physical sciences.  This is the first scholarship founded by and geared towards the metal community. A $1 donation from each ticket sold to Metal Injection Festival will go to supporting the initiative.
