Judiciary Unloads Burly New Single, "Death Knell"

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

The Texas collective delivers their Stalagmite Angels EP next month via Closed Casket Activities.

First announcing their new EP, Stalagmite Angels last month with the drubbing introduction of "Wall of Skulls," Texas metallic hardcore unit Judiciary has unleashed a second strike with the hulking, "Death Knell".

Coupled with a new video that frames the band's explosive live set, the visual showcases pride in their home of Lubbock, Texas with the kind of performance and power that make Judiciary a formidable force in their respective lane.

“The goal with this EP was a hard reset, but we also wanted to chill the f— out a bit, have fun, and do something that felt true to the four of us,” explained drummer Austin Looney. “We wanted time to reconfigure things and let the music come naturally–temper this new mindset that we've adopted post-Flesh + Blood.”

Judiciary frontman Jake Collinson also spoke to the range of influences that are fundamental for the band and core to the creative process poured into their new EP.

“90s hardcore and hardcore in general is always gonna be our natural inclination, but it manifests with different elements not only from song to song but within each song, Whether that’s Dying Breed or Cannibal Corpse or Crowbar or Machine Head or any number of other influences that any one of us may have, it all manifests in our work, and through our individual and collective lenses. With this EP, we transformed those ideas into the Judiciary approach.”

In support of their pending EP, Judiciary will hit the road for a run of North American dates supporting Killswitch Engage and Machine Head starting next month. Shortly after, Judiciary will head overseas for a European trek supporting Guilt Trip. A current list of confirmed dates can be found below.
