Earlier this year, thrash metal royalty in Slayer guitarist Kerry King confirmed all the details regarding his eagerly-awaited solo project. The album titled, From Hell I Rise, was given an official arrival date of May 17th via Reigning Phoenix Music. Additionally, King confirmed his collective of co-conspirators enlisted to bring his hellacious vision to life.

The band features an elite roster of veteran musicians in drummer Paul Bostaph formerly of Slayer, bassist Kyle Sanders of Hellyeah, legendary guitarist Phil Demmel formerly Machine Head and vocalist Mark Osegueda Bay Area thrash OGs, Death Angel.

The project kicked off their campaign towards the May release with the introductory banger in "Idle Hands" - a first glimpse that lived up to King's stylistic stamp, characterized by speed, intensity and of course - those solos.

Now, Kerry King has offered another first, showcasing the fiery quality of the album's aggression with the music video for "Residue". Working with Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera, the clip features a flammable showing from the collective members, framing the individual performances on a track that underscores the relentlessness of the sound.

Pulling no punches on this first look at the band at full force, Louvau offered his assessment of the video. "A fiery, bitchin', heavy f*ucking metal performance introducing the world to Kerry King's new project and band members. A no bullsh*t, no prisoners showcase of the band members, performing while engulfed in flames and surrounded by burning pentagrams."

"I come from a big fire pedigree," chimed in King, "and my music works with fire. I've always written horror-type music, so it made sense to incorporate fire into the first video, where you get to see the entire band, which I think is just awesome. I think fire goes hand-in-hand with the devil, and I'm no stranger to talking about the devil."

Louvau continued, "I knew this would be the first time that the world was going to see the band performing together, so I wanted to create a fast-moving visual assault. Pyrotechnics and Kerry King clearly go hand in hand and seem to fit like a glove, so Tony and I wanted to create something that felt familiar but also something new and exciting. I also knew I could get away with certain visuals like a burning pentagram."

Additionally, King has announced plans to hit the road for the massive Ashes of Leviathan summer tour, supporting Lamb of God and Mastodon for the 20th anniversary of Ashes of the Wake and Leviathan respectively. A complete list of dates and cities can be found below. Get tickets - HERE
