Emerging UK voice Kid Bookie has shared the news of his next full length studio album via Marshall Records. SONGS FOR THE LIVING // SONGS FOR THE DEAD is set for a September 13th release and marks his first full length effort since 2021's well-received, Cheaper Than Therapy.

Though the multi-hyphenate has remained busy since, dropping his Mass Hysteria EP in 2022 as well as an unlikely collaboration with Wheatus in "Bookie's Dirtbag" - the newest chapter in the journey of Bookie finds him fully embracing the spirit of collaboration to tap into his full creative potential.

Assembling a dynamic cast of cohorts, the latest LP from Bookie includes joint efforts with the likes of Billy Martin of Good Charlotte, Mikey Demus of Skindred, and a slew of producers inTom Mitchener (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes), Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Nova Twins), George Perks (Enter Shikari, Skindred) - reiterating Bookie's varied approach.

Combining his pedigree that ropes in rock, hip hop, punk and metal, the album showcases Bookie's dexterity along with a team of contributors that aid in his multi-faceted approach.

Paired with the announcement of the album, Bookie has delivered the first preview from the project with the single, "Scars". Combining Bookie's lyrical cadence with his rock sensibility, the track conveys some heavy emotional weight as the songwriter details personal trauma and emotional uncertainty.

Bookie said of the single, “It’s about not being able to leave when you know you should. You're in a mental torture prison, and you haven't got the strength to leave. You know you should leave, but you’re scared, you're hurt, and this is what the scars can make you do - people put you in mental prisons, and sometimes the only thing you have left to remember is the scars they leave.”

Further explaining how the single offer a glimpse of the project as a whole, Bookie shared how individual discovery and honest, personal confrontation is at the core of the record. “A lot of this album is about feeling inadequate,” confides Bookie. “There are different facets and layers of that inadequacy, and it covers most of my inadequate parts, whether that’s my art or feeling inadequate in terms of love.”

Along with the news of the pending album, Kid Bookie was recently nominated for The Heavy Music Awards as Best Breakthrough Live Artist in 2024. Additionally, Bookie will be on the road supporting I PREVAIL throughout  Europe this summer with appearances at prestigious fests including 2000trees and Takedown Festival also in the mix. A full list of dates can be found below.
