The Central Arkansas-based metal quartet Levels has announced their upcoming EP Pulse, slated for release on February 2nd under SharpTone Records. The band, known for its dynamic and evolving sound, has also made the EP available for pre-order HERE.
Alongside the announcement, Levels released a new song titled "Siren Hymn," complete with a music video. "'Siren Hymn' tells a story about the deep affection a person can have toward a significant other," the band states. "If you've ever experienced the bliss and the feelings that come along with entering and sustaining a loving experience, then you will relate to this track. The song displays the absolute highest of highs that two souls can reach together as one."
The Pulse EP boasts a diverse track listing, featuring songs such as "Pulse," "Breed," "Realign," "Opium of Man," and "Siren Hymn." Since their emergence in 2016, Levels has been a band unafraid to push boundaries, both in their music and in the culture of heavy music.
Their journey began with the release of their self-titled LP in 2018, from which they gained significant traction with singles like "Encapsulate," "Eon," and "Chauvinist." Levels' rise in the metal scene has been marked by performances alongside prominent bands such as VRSTY, Glass Hands, Beartooth, The Devil Wears Prada, and Oceano.
Remarkably, Levels has maintained a do-it-yourself ethos throughout their career, handling everything from recording and mixing their songs to shooting and editing their music videos. In 2023, they entered KonKrete Studios with producer Jonathan Dolese to record their new music, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists and genres, including Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, The Prodigy, Poppy, and Static-X, as well as jungle, trance, and house music.
With the upcoming release of the Pulse EP, Levels is set to add a new chapter to their already impressive repertoire, showcasing their ability to blend various musical influences into their unique style.
