Levitation will take over Austin the weekend before Halloween and today they have revealed a fresh slate of bands added to the lineup. The Saturday lineup will include Pelican, King Woman, Uniform, Skeleton and Glassing tearing up two stages. Emphasizing the range of the festival, BADBADNOTGOOD and DJ Shadow join forces on Sunday night, headlining a two stage lineup featuring Armand Hammer, Fat Tony, and more.

All new additions include: Alexalone, Ariel & The Culture, Baths, Black Maracas, Buck Biloxi, Butcher Bear + Soundfounder (Exploded Drawing), Chief Cleopatra, Coco Maria, Communion, Demob Happy, Dj Shadow, El Khat, Fat Tony, Fearing, Flat Worms, Fuck Money, Girl Ray, Glassing, Kalu & The Electric Joint, King Woman, Magna Carda, On Being An Angel, Pelican, Porcelain, Queen Serene, Sasami, Sitting On Stacy, Skeleton, The Veldt, They/Live, Uniform, and Video Age.

Levitation takes place at venues all throughout Austin including Stubb’s, Mohawk, Empire, Hotel Vegas, Elysium, Parish, and Antone’s 13th Floor. New venues added to the mammoth event include electronic music destination The Concourse Project, and South Austin’s outdoor, multi-stage event center The Far Out Lounge.

The event started out, and has continued to be a hub for the psych rock genre, but has since expanded far into the metal, electronic, and punk scenes. Bringing together all manner of independent and underground music.

“Through the Black Angels music, and the opportunity that opened to start our own festival, we’ve been able to host a global community of artists and music fans. Our mission is to be a platform where the music and art they love can thrive. It’s a simple idea – we’re here to give the people what they want – a place to see their favorite bands and discover new music. The people who support indie music and art – this is their festival, we’re here to make it as great as we can,” says co-founder/director Rob Fitzpatrick
