Marking one year nearly to the date of the release of their praised 2023 LP, Dance Devil Dance, Swedish theatric metal horde Avatar have announced plans to return to the U.S. for their Great Metal Circus Tour. Sharing selections from the latest album and essentials from their healthy catalog, Avatar will head a series of headlining performances leading up to their appearances at Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, OH., Pointfest in St. Louis, MO. and Milwaukee Metal Fest on May 19th.
The announcement adds to already pivotal 2024 for the band. With headlining tours in Europe and their first-ever headlining tour in Latin America already selling out dates in advance, the added U.S. tour dates only serve to swell the momentum of the band as they continue their madcap campaign.
Additionally, the band's Sonic Temple appearance will see the band headline one of the stages - an important first for their run of Danny Wimmer Presents events.
Set to join Avatar on The Great Metal Circus tour, Oxymorrons and Conquer Divide will serve as support. The tour kicks of May 8th in Indianapolis, IN and closes with an appearance at Milwaukee Metal Fest. Tickets for the Great Metal Circus Tour go on sale February 16th.
