Alt. – Abeyance - Melodic Metalcore
Kicking off this week we have the debut full-length from melodic metalcore outfit Alt. Abeyance is full of everything from heavy metal instruments to fantastic breakdowns. Melodic and emotive vocals, electronic elements and some rapping all work quite well together to create an album that is heavy, accessible, and a honest good time.

Creeping Death – Boundless Domain - Death Metal
There is no denying that the death metal scene is absolutely bursting at the seams right now. Texan death metal favorites Creeping Death have turned out 43 minutes of solid bludgeoning. The range on this album is what is most impressive, with weighty riffs, killer solos, thrashy turns and filthy groove, the album goes beyond death metal basics to showcase what Creeping Death are really made of.

Elder Devil – Everything Worth Loving – Grindcore
Everything Worth Loving is a violent, gritty, and dizzying album with punk stylings, flurries of furious riffs and solos, and beautiful and heartfelt lyrics. The vocal delivery is explosive, while the musicianship is a masterclass in controlled chaos. Taking extreme to new extremes, Elder Devil will scratch your grindcore itch.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – PetroDragonic Apocalypse - Hard Rock
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are relentless in the best way possible. This marks album 24 (yes - TWENTYFOUR) from the Australian outfit and it finds them exploring new territory, ditching their trademark stoner-rock for more thrashy metal. Blistering guitar work and pummeling drums drive you through fantasy fueled fury.

Queens Of The Stone Age – In Times New Roman… - Hard Rock
In Times New Roman…, may be Queens of the Stone Age’s heaviest, angriest work since 2007’s Era Vulgaris, which is understandable given the past few years Josh Homme has had. The album is a balancing act of vulnerable and vindictive with flashes of dark humor. Cinematic at times, In Times New Roman… feels quite grand. The third of the trilogy that started with …Like Clockwork, this completes the set.
