EMPIRE STATE BASTARD – RIVERS OF HERESY – GRINDCORE
Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro and Biffy touring guitarist and former Oceansize frontman Mike Vennart have spent their careers pushing themselves into the weirdest corners of heavy music. Empire State Bastard is another adventure into the experimental and weird. Chaotic and crushing, the duo recruited legendary drummer Dave Lombardo to add his own caustic beats to the mix.
EXHUMED – BEYOND THE DEAD! EP – DEATH METAL/GRINDCORE
Earlier this week, deathgrind masterminds Exhumed surprise released their latest EP, Beyond The Dead. The EP features 4 new tracks and 4 live cuts taken from some recent shows. As they barrel toward their upcoming To The Dead tour, the band wanted to remind everyone that violence and gore are in store at each of their dates.

POLARIS – FATALISM – METALCORE
This explosive, high-octane album shows why Polaris is one of the most exciting new names in the metalcore scene right now. Emotionally deep lyrics and massive riffage will get both your head banging and all your feels in an uproar. This band has seen their share of hardships, particularly after losing their guitarist Ryan Siew who tragically passed away at the age of 26. That kind of heartbreak could, understably so, collapse many bands, but this album is a triumph in the face of everything.

PRIMAL FEAR – CODE RED – POWER METAL
Shredding guitars, soaring vocals, the 14th installment to the Primal Fear discography is exactly what you want and need from the band. The album, cover work included, has an air of a phoenix rising after the band has had a rough go of it lately. Code Red is as enjoyable as it is grandiose, with some rowdy and catchy bangers and little to no filler.

STITCHED UP HEART – TO THE WOLVES – ALTERNATIVE METAL
Stitched Up Heart’s intelligent blend of hard rock, alternative metal and industrial influences take a much darker turn on To The Wolves. Bringing in a level of anger and aggression not seen before, To The Wolves is a solid fusion of early 2000’s energy and groove, with some solid guests to boot!

WORN – CONDENSING FLESH – HARDCORE/D-BEAT
Worn’s Condensing Flesh will be the most brutal 9ish minutes of your weekend. Worn creates an absolutely savage form of hardcore punk that is a fast and guttural barrage of stomping groove and just straight destruction. This is one that will bring down an entire venue during a live set.
