Metalcore progressives Polaris have delivered their first offering of new music in three years with the reveal of "Without You". The track arrives via SharpTone Records and ADA in Australia and New Zealand.
A potent combination of technical prowess and emotional catharsis, the track navigates the collective grief of the band following the tragic 2023 passing of musical brother and bandmate, Ryan Siew.
Issuing a statement regarding the release, Polaris expressed, “Never did we imagine that we would one day have reason to write this song. But three years on, we find ourselves still making sense of this immeasurable tragedy, and what it has meant to be left in the wake.
This is the sound of crushing loss, shock, grief and heartache, and the beginning of us learning how to share that with the world."
The arrival of the band's latest marks their powerful reintroduction following the universal acclaim of the band's 2023 LP, Fatalism. Functioning as both a tribute to their departed bandmate and the beginning of the band's next creative chapter, "Without You" underscores Polaris as one of metalcore's most invigorating contributors.
Polaris is set to close out 2026 with a succession of live dates with I Prevail across the EU/UK. Punctuating the year, Polaris will also take on an appearance at this year's Good Things Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. A list of confirmed dates and cities can be found below.
