Punk Legends Link As Circle Jerks and Descendents Team for Joint EP

- By Ramon Gonzales

The Trust Records surprise release features the bands each taking on the other's classics ahead of their co-headlining tour.

You Got Your Descendents In My Circle Jerks...

Ahead of the bands' co-headlining tour set to begin this week, punk icons Circle Jerks and Descendents have release a surprise collaborative EP in which each band covers the classics from the other.

The freshly recorded versions of covers includes  Descendents' ripping the Circle Jerks’ “Red Tape”, “I Just Want Some Skank” and the raucous “Beverly Hills” on Side A. The B SIde is equally as strong with Circle Jerks tackling Descendents' “Kabuki Girl” and the punk rock anthem of “Hope”.

The EP will only be available to purchase as a physical 7”. Trust Records is selling a white variant online and a special red variant will be available on the upcoming co-headlining tour.

Additionally, a blue variant will also be available from the bands' respective webstores. Shop the Circle Jerks store - HERE. Shop the Descendents store - HERE

To properly rollout the release, Circle Jerks and Descendents teamed with creative team The Times to craft a small screen commercial reminiscent of the golden era of television-dominated pop-culture.  The spot features venerated punk photographer and documentarian Edward Colver as well as skateboarder Steve Olson, Ian Svenonius and more.
