A decade ago, revered frontman Maynard James Keenan marked his 50th birthday with a special one night only engagement at Los Angeles’ famed Greek Theatre dubbed, Cinquanta. The event featured a trio of performances from two of his musical endeavors in Puscifer and A Perfect Circle with raucous prog rock renegades Primus also joining the festivities.
With ten years having gone by since the outing, Keenan along with his crew of co-conspirators have announced plans to revive and expand the initial inception of Cinquanta to mark Maynard’s 60th birthday. Initially launching the celebration as a seven-day jaunt, Sessanta has since evolved into a full US tour and again sees the union of Primus, Puscifer and the first live performance from A Perfect Circle in five years.
Sessanta’s unconventional format features the trio of bands performing with one another throughout the concert. Each band will have their own distinct set, however, the individual players will continually rotate and transform as the night transpires.
Reiterating that same collaborative spirit, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle and Primus have announced the release of the Sessanta E.P.P.P. - a three-way split release that features one new song from each band, all of which were co-written by Maynard James Keenan. The EP is due out March 29th, just days ahead of the start of the Sessanta Tour and will be available in both digital and physical formats - including limited edition vinyl.

The Sessanta tour boasts an impressive list of venues, including two sold-out nights at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, and one at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. With the tour now encompassing a wide swath of the U.S., fans across the country have the opportunity to witness what promises to be a memorable rock event, honoring one of the genre's most revered artists.
