Satanic Planet Debut Consuming Short Film, "Antichrist"

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

The avant garde aggressors led by Justin Pearson and Dave Lombardo confront the age of tyranny and Christian Nationalism with a hellish soundscape and hanting new visual.

Set to unleash their full length tour de force Dead Deities October 30th via Relapse Records, iconoclasts Satanic Planet have issued another profound statement with the short film, "Antichrist".

Comprised of The Satanic Temple co-founder Lucien Greaves, along with Luke Henshaw, Dave Lombardo and Justin Pearson, the collective combine avant garde antagonism with articulate activism to craft a distinct brand of protest music derived from the pits of hell.

Singularly focused with cultivating a unique take on dark, brooding, heavy music, the unit under Greaves shared their manifesto through extreme music to “encourage benevolence and empathy, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practiced common sense, oppose injustice, and undertake noble pursuits..." - aligning with the core tenets of The Satanic Temple.

Thus far previewed by the unsettling "Sam Alito's Mom," reemphasized with the droning organ and thunderous cadence of "Church Burning," the third offering from Dead Deities in "Anichrist" might be the most approachable arrangement - though no less haunting. Tortured vocals, post punk DNA and textured, layered soundscapes make for a soundtrack source from inferno.

Consistent in its confrontation, "Antichrist" is the latest offensive intent on thwarting the rising tide of authoritarianism and surging Christian Nationalism. Teaming with directors Carl Fry and Maxwell Nalevansky, the short film subverts divinity by hunting the clergy for a clip that frames a tongue-in-cheek take on ritual and rebellion.

Dead Deities, the new album from Satanic Planet arrives October 30th via Relapse Records. Order the album - HERE
