SeeYouSpaceCowboy Recruit Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox for "To The Dance Floor For Shelter"

- By Ramon Gonzales

The band's album, Coup De Grâce, arrives next month and includes a comprehensive North American tour with Better Lovers.

Having already showcased an effective slew of singles thus far, SeeYouSpaceCowboy continue their march towards the April 19th arrival of their latest Pure Noise Records full length, Coup De Grace

Following the successful launch of previews in Respite For A Tragic Tale (ft. iRis.EXE)”, “Silhouettes in Motion”, “Rhythm and Rapture (ft. nothing, nowhere.)”, and “Chewing The Scenery”. the band have now unloaded yet another potent punch of musical volatility, this time scoring Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox for some added emphasis.

"To The Dance Floor for Shelter" channels the band's earliest influences, executed in line with the band's ambitious artistic vision of the overall theme the permeates throughout the album.

The band shared of the most recent offering from their pending LP release. “This song is our little ode to the emo songs that we were all obsessed with growing up, we wanted something that would almost feel cinematic in nature and felt like it carried you through from the piano in the beginning to the journey through the middle to the climax,” the band shares. “It’s a song that Courtney’s vocals beautifully fit into as a voice that leads you to that destructive end.”

The follow-up to the acclaimed 2021 LP, The Romance of Affliction, SYSC embraces an imaginative thematic approach on their latest effort that leans into a neo-noir aesthetic in the vein of Moulin Rouge. The contrast creates a canvas that compliments the frenetic, sometimes chaotic energy convene in the soundtrack of SYSC.

“This album was a chance for us to refine some of the melodic elements we had recently introduced to the band while also playing around with all things and bringing back reinvented version of past parts of our identity,” shares frontwoman Connie Sgarbossa.
“The hope is that we made something that mixes the innate emotion of post hardcore with the cathartic essence of dancing and allure of cabaret/burlesque in a package reflecting the tale of a city on fire and it’s all to tragic individuals and their indulgence and woes.”
Coinciding with the release of Coup De Grâce, SeeYouSpaceCowboy are preparing to depart on lengthy spring tour supporting Better Lovers, flanked by Foreign Hands, and Greyhaven. The run begins the day prior to their album release on April 18th in Indianpolis, IN. The 20-date trek culminates with a special appearance for SeeYouSpaceCowboy at this year’s Sound and Fury Festival in Los Angeles in mid-July.
