Marking the culmination of a historic career that has spanned more than four decades, Brazilian metal heroes Sepultura have set the date for their lkive farewell.
Set for November 7th at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in Sao Paulo, one of metal's most influential collectives with close the book their legendary career with a homecoming and a final farewell.
Sepultura and Guests will feature a host of heavy music luminaries as the band complete the last performance of their Celebrating Life Through Death farewell run. The concert will also feature a prominent roster of supporting sets with the likes of the all-star roster of Metal Allegiance serving as direct support. Additional performances will also include Brazilian death metal heroes Krisiun and a showing from American thrash OGs, Sacred Reich.
The decision to host the farewell at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu proves especially significant for the band. Sepultura’s history with the space dates back to the band's rise in the 1990s, specifically the band's iconic concert at Praça Charles Miller, in front of the stadium. Focal to the lore of Sepultura, the showing at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu presents an opportunity to bring the band's story full circle as they take one final bow.
