Death metal lifers Skeletal Remains have confirmed a new studio album will land March 8th, 2024 via Century Media Records. Fragments of the Ageless follows the band's praised 2020 effort, The Entombment of Chaos and is preceded by the first preview of the album, "Void of Despair". 

Working with director Dillon Vaughn, the band bring to life a harrowing tale of survivalism turned cannibalistic with an added sci-fi spin that makes the depiction even more depraved. 

The band shared of the the single. "We are very proud to present our first single entitled ‘Void of Despair!' Inspired by the true horrors of the many men lost at sea, who after depleting all of their resources and food, turned to cannibalism for survival. We gave the old stories our own twist by having the crew set on a ship lost in the eternal void of deep space."

The band added, "The aggression and spastic riffs swirling throughout the song perfectly express the feeling to an endless losing battle of sanity and starvation, thus succumbing to their demise. We hope you enjoy!"

Coupled with the news of the band's latest studio effort on the way, Skeletal Remains is set to begin their run on the Ancient Unholy Uprising Tour of North America next month. The band will join legendary outfits Suffocation and Immolation on the 26-date stretch, bookended by a handful of headlining dates to close out the year.
