Following an active week online with a series of social media posts highlighting the band's live history, Slipknot have punctuated the week with a new teaser trailer pointing to their plans in 2027.
After mysterious posters popped up in cities across the world pushing to a cryptic website displaying a burning tribal S and “9.28”, the band have released a stylized edit the band's live ritual, soundtracked to Billie Jo Spears' “Get Behind Me Satan and Push” that ends with “2027”. The classic outlaw country track is has become synonymous with the band's live set as their introductory track just prior to the band's curtain drop.
The latest rollout follows the surprise release of the single "Arsenal," along with a gripping new visual directed by the band's own M. Shawn Crahan. The track marks the first reveal of new music since the band's acclaimed 2022 LP, The End, So Far and the first offering of music with renowned drummer, Eloy Casagrande.
Slipknot completed their Here Comes the Pain live run to close out 2024. During the comprehensive touring stretch, the band revisited their landmark Self-titled album, marking the 25th anniversary with a specially curated set.
