Sumerian Records has announced the signing of Slovenian metal prospects, Within Destruction. Along with the news of the recent acquisition to the ever-expanding global roster, Within Destruction has commenced their Sumerian Records campaign with the drop of their first single on the label, "Demon Child". 

Visually sourcing inspiration from street racing culture, the accompanying music video was filmed on location in Tokyo, Japan and leans heavily into the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift motif. 

Vocalist Rok Rupnik explained the headspace that inspired the track, “Before I even started writing lyrics, I’ve listened to the song a couple of times and immediately knew the final words of the chorus would be 'Demon Child,' which also ended up being the title of our second single. The lyrics dive into the nature of a love-hate relationship, where one would rather embrace a passionate turmoil over a mundane life.”

Guitarist Howard Fang and drummer Luka Vezzosi added how the song was constructed despite their initial plans, “We’ve had a lot of fun during the pre-production of the song which is getting released pretty much in the initially envisioned idea. This time we went with a fast-paced song built around a catchy singalong chorus with a breakdown as a cherry on top. The only funny thing about this song is the fact that it was supposed to be without a breakdown, but while we were in the studio tracking the song, we found a place for it at the last minute and we think it works really well.”

Within Destruction will be trekking in Europe and the UK in September and October. The band has a handful of remaining dates and is expected to showcase more under the Sumerian banner soon. Check the list of tour dates and cities below.
