Charing towards the November 3rd release date of their landmark ninth studio album, New York death metal institution Suffocation have unveiled the second single from Hymns From The Apocrypha.
"Perpetual Deception" follows the introduction of "Seraphim Enslavement" and showcases the second single to feature the band's newest recruit in vocalist Ricky Myers.
The most recent preview of the album also harkens back to a Suffocation classic, as "Perpetual Deception revisits the "Son of Man" (Jesus) referenced on the 1991 essential, "Jesus Wept".
Hymns from the Apocrypha marks Suffocation first full length since 2017's ...Of the Dark Light. Tapping Christian Donaldson to serve as the project's co-producer, the album underscores the band's enduring rank as one of death metal's unwavering stalwarts - leading into the band's 35th anniversary.
Coupled with the arrival of the new album, Suffocation are hitting the road with a 6-date 'Darkness Within Mexico Tour' in addition to their 'Ancient Unholy Rising Tour ' featuring co-headliners, Incantation.
