Massachusetts deathcore veterans The Red Chord have announced plans to revisit their watershed 2002 studio album debut, Fused Together in Revolving Doors. For the first time ever, the album largely credited with offerings a stylistic foundation for what would become deathcore will see a vinyl release more than two decades after its initial release.
The news also marks the revival of The Red Chord frontman Guy Kozowyk's long-dormant label, Black Market Activities - a label that nurtured the early careers of bands like Fit For An Autopsy and Nashville noisecore specialists, Today Is the Day.
The vinyl release of the beloved album also comes packaged with a pair of release shows set for June 1st and 2nd in Braintree, Massachusetts. The celebration will include support sets from the likes of Through the Eyes of the Dead, Deadguy and more. The release shows will be preceded by The Red Chord's highly anticipated appearance at Milwaukee Metal Fest.
In a recent interview with Rob Pasbani via the Squared Circle Pit series, Kozowyk confirmed that The Red Chord has been working on new music which would serve as their first release of new music since 2009. See the interview below.
