Swedish metalcore collective Thrown have debuted a walloping new track that confronts the world of modern tastemakers and online commentators in "Critic". The single continues the band's steady trickle of releases in 2026 including the stylized hostility of "split" and "rehearsed" which landed this spring and summer respectively.
A potent punch of nu-metal bounce and metalcore sheen, the track delivers on Thrown's acclaimed take on contemporary heavy music. Combined with the sharp commentary that picks apart digital naysayers and self-appointed tastemakers, the band pull no punches.
Thrown is set to close out 2026 with a healthy stretch of live dates across both the U.S> and across Europe. This October, Thrown will headline the U.S. for a monthlong run with support from Norma Jean, along with Half Me and Boltcutter. For November and December, Thrown take on dates abroad with a EU/UK tour with support from Counterparts, NO CURE and Heavensgate.
