The single marks the first showing of new music since the band’s hailed 2022 effort, ‘Nula’ and features a stylish visual directed by vocalist Janine Shilstone.
In what has already been a career year for Scotland sensation Vukovi, the band is still riding high from recent standout sets at Slam Dunk in the UK, Full Force Fest in Germany and Resurrection Fest in Spain.
Touring in support of the band’s third studio effort, Nula, which was met with universal praise late last year, the band has also been plotting their next phase, one that was introduced in grand fashion with the arrival of their latest single, “Creep Heat”.
The dynamic, daring track showcases a powerhouse vocal performance from Janine Shilstone and marks the first reveal of new music for Vukovi on the year. The arrival of “Creep Heat” also marks an important milestone for band, ushering in their new era on Sharptone Records.
Shilstone spoke of the new partnership and the immediate synergy in signing with their new label. “We have both been fans of Sharptone throughout the existence of VUKOVI. Our paths finally meeting is a real pinch me moment.”
Coupled with the announcement and the arrival of the new track, “Creep Heat” also underscores the versatility of band – featuring an ambitious new music video directed by Janine herself. Addressing the significance of the release, Shilstone shared, “I want this to be a catalyst for more women to start believing they are more than capable of directing; the industry and future generations need us. I’m always learning and growing as I go, there is never a right time to start other than now. I’m very grateful to be so well supported and believed in by Hamish and our team. I feel seen.”
Both the track and the accompanying visual serves as an auspicious indicator of what’s to come from Vukovi as the latest recruit on the Sharptone roster. The band is currently prepping to join arena juggernauts Babymetal on their upcoming UK tour this November. Dates and cities can be found – HERE
