Serving as the eagerly-awaited return following the praise of their 2023 LP, American Gothic, Colorado outliers Wayfarer have returned with the news of their next installment, Riders Of The Setting Sun. While the album is still tentatively set for an autumn release, the band have shared the first glimpse with stirring show of Americana noir in "Perdition's Crossing".
Paired with the vocal command of David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower, Wovenhand) the first new offering since 2023 also begins a pivotal new era for the band - one that embraces sonic experimentation while expanding their dark cinematic narrative. Enlisting personnel that includes producer Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe), engineering from James Barone (Beach House) and a final mix from Iver Sandoy (Enslaved), the track showcases yet another level of immersion from the Colorado collective.
Aligning with director Brendan McGowan, Wayfarer work to create their desolate universe with a soundtrack and visual to match. The band explained of the collaboration and the excitement in finally sharing it with fans.

To work alongside someone like David Eugene Edwards is not only a bit of a dream come true for us, but also a perfect way for us to start down new roads of the WAYFARER sound that are being fleshed out. Vesperian is launching a 12" maxi-single of "Perdition's Crossing" limited to just 300 copies worldwide along with limited edition artwork by graphic novelist Julian Brier. 200 copies are available in the US, with 100 reserved for Europe exclusively through online - HERE
