From humble beginnings as an underground horror sensation to bleeding into the mainstream, the Terrifier franchise has hit it big without compromise. Creator and director Damien Leone has built his empire on a dedication to jaw-dropping onscreen violence and has certainly delivered on that front - but can the upcoming third film in this grisly series really find a way to up the ante?
Leone has promised that this October's Terrifier 3 will be the goriest one to date, which is really saying something considering the level of depravity the previous two movies have gotten away with. The hook this time around is that Art the Clown's latest massacre takes place at Christmas, which does help give the latest film its own distinct look.
The official synopsis reads: "In Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting’s Terrifier 3, directed once again by Damien Leone, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is set to unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve."
The cast includes the return of Lauren LaVera as Sienna Show, Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes, Elliot Fullam as Jonathan Shaw and AEW superstar Chris Jericho as Burke, with Daniel Roebuck set to debut as Santa Claus. Check out the teaser trailer below!
