Thrillers and terrifying new originals hit streaming this week, along with a pair of fascinating documentaries


‘Leave the World Behind’ (Netflix)

The first of many big Netflix originals this month: A family's getaway to a luxurious rental home takes an ominous turn when a cyberattack knocks out their devices, and two strangers appear at their door.

‘The Sacrifice Game’ (Shudder)

It's bad enough that boarding school students Samantha and Clara can't go home for the holidays, but things take a deadly turn when a murderous gang arrives on their doorstep - just in time for Christmas.

‘Blood Vessel’ (Netflix)

Brought together by chance, six people fleeing a town devastated by oil pollution stow away on a mysterious ship -not realizing the dangers that await.

‘Culprits’ (Hulu / Disney+)

After a heist, the tight-knit crew have gone their separate ways, but now, they are being targeted by a killer one-by-one.

‘The Mission’ (Hulu / Disney+)

‘Doctor Who: Wild Blue Yonder’ (Disney+)

The TARDIS, out of control, abandons the Doctor and Donna on a faraway, mysterious spaceship, with deadly secrets in every corner.

‘Blood Coast’ (Netflix)

A group of police officers with particular methods who track down a dangerous criminal in order to prevent Marseille from plunging into a bloodbath.

‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ (Netflix)

A plumber named Mario travels through an underground labyrinth with his brother Luigi, trying to save a captured princess. The smash hit animated blockbuster is now finally streaming.

‘Mob Land’ (Hulu)

A sheriff tries to keep the peace when a desperate family man violently robs a pill mill with his brother-in-law, alerting an enforcer for the New Orleans mafia.


‘30 Coins (Season 2)’ (Max)

Father Vergara, an exorcist, boxer and ex-convict exiled to a remote town in Spain, enlists the help of the mayor and a veterinarian when a series of paranormal phenomena begins to occur. In season 2, a new enemy feared by even the devil himself will put the world at risk. The first seven episodes are now streaming.

‘The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula (Season 5)’ (Shudder)

The Boulet Brothers host a competition - featuring morbid themes and dark challenges - for nine drag performers, looking to find the world's finest drag supermonster. The first six episodes are now streaming.

‘For All Mankind (Season 4)’ (Apple TV+)

The new season explores the Mars colonization in 2003, where former adversaries collaborate on asteroid mining, offering hope for Earth and Mars. However, growing tensions within the international base jeopardize their ambitious goals, adding drama to the space program's future. The first five episodes are now streaming.

‘Rap Sh!t (Season 2)’ (Max)

‘A Murder at the End of the World’ (Hulu)

A Murder at the End of the World is a mystery series featuring a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker “Darby Hart.” Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use her skills to prove it was murder before the killer takes another life. The first five episodes are now streaming.

‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force (Season 12)’ (Max)

A trio of fast-food items works to solve mysteries in this long-running edgy adult cartoon. The brains of the group is Frylock, a floating box of fries, but Master Shake does a lot of the talking, most of it aimed at making life miserable for Meatwad, a sweet-natured ball of meat. The first three episodes are now streaming.

‘Slow Horses (Season 3)’ (Apple TV+)

In season three, a romantic liaison in Istanbul threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London. When Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and his team of misfits are dragged into the fight, they find themselves caught in a conspiracy that threatens the future not just of Slough House but of MI5 itself. The first three episodes are now streaming.
