Bellator 242 will be headlined by bantamweight contenders Ricky Bandejas versus Sergio Pettis

In what feels like a lifetime ago, Bellator made the tough but safe decision to cancel their March 13th contender card and has been out of action since. The promotion will celebrate their return to live competition on July 24th with a showdown between bantamweight standouts in Ricky Bandejas and Sergio Pettis.

In terms of credentials, Bandejas has amassed 13 wins in his career, 9 by KO. His most recent KO was against Frans Mlambo in Bellator 240. As for Pettis, the UFC-veteran collected some 14 wins in the promotion against the likes Joseph Benavidez, Brandon Moreno and John Moraga. He trains alongside his brother Anthony Pettis.

The stacked card will broadcast on the Paramount Network on July 24th starting at 10pm EST/ 9pm CST. The complete line up including preliminary bouts are listed below.
