Proving to be both enigmatic and ubiquitous all in one, arena metal's clergy in GHOST are now entering uncharted territory - infiltrating the world of NASCAR.
In a bit of ingenious album promotion, GHOST have teamed with NASCAR Xfinity Team JD Motorsports to launch the "Papa 4 Car" during this weekend's United Rentals 200 set for March 12th at Phoenix Raceway. With driver Bayley Currey taking the wheel, the Chevrolet will feature a customized look that features imagery from GHOST's latest album Impera in addition to frontman Papa Emeritus IV's face on the ride.
Bridging the world of arena-sized metallic spectacle with the thrill of high-octane motorsports, the Bayley Currey team were collectively excited about melding the two cultures together.
Driver Bayley Currey is eager to get on the asphalt come March 12th at the Phoenix Raceway. "I'm excited about this one, and I know the boys at the shop are excited about this one too, we have a lot of metal fans on our team. Once we heard a deal was imminent, we started working on the cars to Ghost songs. With Ghost on my car, I am ready to take on the world."
The race coincides with the arrival of Ghost's latest full length album, Impera. In addition to the NASCAR co-promotion, the band revealed plans for a special "record release ritual" with their Live From the Ministry broadcast set for March 10th at 2pm EST via Ghost's Youtube Channel.
