Sony has confirmed that one of their biggest sporting titles in MLB The Show will no longer be exclusive to Playstation.
Confirming the speculation, the developer has announced that the game will now be available on both Playstation 4 & 5 consoles as well as the Xbox One and X|S series consoles. Enlisting the help of the league's breakout star in Fernando Tatis Jr., the announcement pairs well with the branding of 'The Game Has Changed".
In addition to making it's Microsoft debut, MLB The Show 21 will also allow for cross-saves, online multiplayer across both PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and full cross-platform progression for a seamless gaming experience regardless of console preference.
There are a few caveats however. The standard version of the title will run you about $60 and is purchased for previous generation consoles like Xbox One or PS4, will not allow for an upgrade should you level up to a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S console.
Sony has revealed that there will be a Collector’s Edition of MLB The Show 21 for both consoles that will include both the current and next-generation versions of the game to avoid any crossover hiccups with console or - brand or era.
