The announcement is part of the ambitious rollout for the band’s first full length album in five years.
Last month, UK progressive powerhouse TesseracT confirmed the September 15th arrival of their first studio effort since their 2018 masterclass, Sonder, with the September 15th drop of their next chapter, War of Being.
Along with the news of the album, TesseracT introduced the enormity of the project with a fully consuming, throughly compelling, brilliantly cinematic visual with the preview of the album’s title track. Written and Directed by Found Format with second unit director Richard Oakes/Dark Fable Media of Sleep Token fame, the 11-minute epic underscores the level power and proficiency that TesseracT bring to the table.

TesseracT bassist Amos Williams explained, “War Of Being has been all-encompassing for us since late 2019. After I returned home from filming P O R T A L S, I found myself in such a deeply introspective headspace. The scale of work and reward from that project kind of set this up to be inevitable. We simply had to try and see how far we could take a concept album with TesseracT.
“Within these songs the band has given life to the themes and ideas that are personified within the characters of The Strangeland story. It’s certainly been a catharsis and a way for me to explore the internal dissonance.”
Unveiling the next phase in the rollout of War of Being, TesseracT have introduced an immersive video game coinciding with the release of the album with War of Being, the video game, due out in both VR and desktop platforms. The game was a collaboration between Unreal Engine 5 and the band’s vocalist Daniel Tompkins who worked together to develop the game.
War of Being, the video game, will be available for early access for fans via Steam starting August 11th. The launch will also include the debut of another single from the band, previewing the album a month ahead of the release date. Check the gameplay trailer below.
The band shared of the announcement,
