Connecticut metallic hardcore heroes 100 Demons have announced the first new labum fro the band in more than two decades with the confirmation of Embrace the Black Light. Featuring Pete Morcey, Rich Rosa, Rick Brayall and Jeremy Braddock, in addition to the return of Sean Martin to the unit, the album was produced by Greg Thomas along with the added personnel of Chris Teti and Will Putney.
Along with an elite team of personnel, the album also touts some added firepower with a guest appearance from Twitching Tongues/God’s Hate members Colin Young and Taylor Young in what amounts to a triumphant return.
Set for a June 5th release via Closed Casket Activities, the album is introduced with the devastating lead single, "Meat for the Beast." Vocalist Pete Morcey elaborated on the introduction. “As with most of the songs on 'Embrace the Black Light,' 'Meat for the Beast' was written and formulated in the studio during the last year. We mixed in a couple styles on this one blending 80s thrash metal and heavy pounding hardcore to give it the signature 100 Demons sound.”
Morcey went onto share the headspace of the band in returning with their first studio effort since their 2004 self-titled release. "Writing and recording 'Embrace the Black Light' was an experience like no other. We were able to take our time and carefully craft every single song on this release. Working with Greg Thomas and Chris Teti at Silver Bullet made us realize we would not have been able to do this record without them. And with the guidance of Justin from Closed Casket Activities, we know they brought out the best of us on every level.”
