Adding to an incredibly busy 2026 that will see the theatric heavy metal horde of Avatar hit the raod for a slate of headlining dates, festival appearances and a handful of supporting dates on the Metallica M72 World Tour, Avatar has announced their next siege of North America.
Trekking in support of the band's universally acclaimed Halloween release, Don't Gop Into the Forest, Avatar has confirmed a spring 2026 run under the same name. The Don't Go Into the Forest 2026 tour will begin April 16th in Sacramento, CA and close out May 20th in Hampton Beach, NH. Along the way, Avatar will make stops at both Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, FL., as well as Sonic Temple in Columbus, OH.,
Set to join Avatar of their next run of North America, the band have tapped a mammoth pairing of support with Fleshgod Apocalypse and Texas brutalizers Frozen Soul joining the caravan. Avatar frontman Johannes Eckerström sahred, "USA. It started off innocently enough. Hiking along on a trail. Sunny. Pleasant. Safe. Then night came, and the trail slowly faded. You can't go back, as you don't know where you came from. You don't even dare to turn around, as you can feel someone, or something, watching. What you were, all the way back in the warm embrace of civilization, doesn't matter. Here. it's just you and the trees."
The latest touring announcement arrives as Avatar prepare to begin their 2026 jaunt, starting with a voyage on Shiprocked later this month, then onto the band's headlining run of Europe wth Alien Weaponry, Witch Club Satan and Agabas. Throughout the year, Avatar will make festival appearances at destinations including Graspop Metal Festival, in addition to the band's dates with Metallica in Frankfurt, Budapest, Dublin and London.
