The single previews the band’s pending full length ‘The Surface’, due out this fall.
Just how anticipated is the new album from Ohio champs Beartooth?
If streaming numbers are any indication, very.
In the weeks leading into the arrival of The Surface, due out October 13th via Red Bull Records, the band has shared s succession of effective, emotive singles that have struck an obvious chord with their most dedicated base. Thus far, the preview singles in “Riptide,” “Sunshine!,” and “Might Love Myself” have already amassed more than 50 million streams collectively.
Adding to the excitement and anticipation of the album, Beartooth have bolstered the energy with their latest preview with the anthemic, “Doubt Me”. Addressing the adversity he has encountered in his life, frontman Caleb Shomo doubles down on the themes of optimism that resonates throughout the new album with a track that speaks to personal triumph and resilience.
“We all have our own struggles that we deal with quietly,” says Shomo. “Sometimes, it can be hard to explain to the people around you what you’re dealing with. What may be perceived by others as weakness is actually a battle with yourself that you know will be conquered. Being in the thick of serious change is never easy, and being brought down by those who don’t understand can add to the weight. Know that when you’re in those moments, sometimes you need to just put your head down and fight with all you have, regardless of whatever people say you’re capable of at the moment.”
The single follows Beartooth’s recent successful live campaigns in Australia, returning for the first time in four years opposite Pierce the Veil. Beartooth also completed a massive trek of Europe this summer which included festival sets at Wacken in Germany, Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic and Pukkelpop in Belgium just to name a few.
