Following the announcement of the return of the Freaks On Parade summer tour with Alice Cooper set for later this year, Rob Zombie has also confirmed some significant personnel changes.
Piggy D., the longtime bassist for the band, announced January 30th that his near twenty year run with the band was ending. “Dear Friends. My time with Zombie has come to an end. It was an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years. I look forward to the future and wish everyone the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., Giggles”
Now, Zombie has addressed the shift with a statement shared via social media and a major confirmation of just who will rejoin the band in Piggy's place - and it is familiar face for Zombie diehards.
In a post shared to the Zombie socials, the rock icon re-introduced a beloved member of the Zombie universe and offered a promising forecast of the band's future. "After 18 years I am thrilled to announce that BLASKO has returned! ☠️ The original 4 string Zombie monster is back. Get ready for a crazy summer of mayhem."
Blasko joins Zombie, drummer Ginger Fish and guitarist Mike Riggs who resumed his post as guitarist following the 2022 departure of John 5.
The Freaks On Parade Tour with Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper will begin August 20th in Albuquerque, NM and close out a month later with a Texas-sized arena play in Fort Worth. A complete list of dates and cities can be found below. Get tickets - HERE
