As the winter season sets in, the renowned Bloodstock festival is spreading holiday cheer with exciting news for heavy metal enthusiasts. The 2024 edition of the festival promises an array of metal music, starting with a special Christmas announcement. Fans now have the chance to gift Bloodstock 2024 tickets, complete with a festive card available for download from the festival's ticket store.
In anticipation of the event, Bloodstock is hosting a Festive Facebook Live on December 7th at 7 pm. This event promises seasonal fun, prizes, and potentially more surprises to be revealed across the festival's social media platforms later in the month.
Headlining acts for the Ronnie James Dio main stage include grindcore and melodic death metal legends Carcass, occupying Sunday’s special guest slot. Joining them on the same stage is Cultura Tres, a South American progressive sludge metal project featuring Sepultura’s Paolo Pinto Jr.
The Sophie Lancaster stage will be graced by black metal icons Satyricon, marking their first performance in 5 years. The band has a special connection with English fans, as frontman Satyr describes their appearances in England as a “homecoming.”
British metal heavyweights Sylosis will also perform on the Sophie stage on Saturday. Additionally, American goth metal project Ludovico Technique, fronted by the enigmatic Ben V, will be performing in support of their latest album Haunted People.
Saturday's lineup also includes metal pirates Red Rum, known for their riff-laden pirate tunes. Death/thrash metal band Sadus will make their appearance on the Sophie stage on Sunday. Spanish alt-metal collective ANKOR, fronted by Jessie Williams, will add a unique blend of metalcore, progressive, and electro elements to the Sunday lineup.
For those with weekend tickets, the event kicks off on Thursday with prog metal band Evergrey headlining the Sophie stage, supported by Tailgunner and South Of Salem.
