Having already re-recorded and released two seminal Sepultura masterworks, the brothers Cavalera have announced they will complete the trilogy and revisit the sophomore full length from Sepultura in Schizophrenia with the assistance of revered producer and frequent. collaborator, Arthur Rizk.

Set for a June 21st release via Nuclear Blast Records, Max and Iggor along with Travis Stone and Iggor Amadeus Calavera will debut a refined version of bonafide classic, closing the trifecta that began with Bestial Devastation in 1985, continued with Morbid Visions in 1986 and was punctuated in '87.

Max Cavalera shared of the announcement, "The Third World Trilogy is finally complete with Schizophrenia, Bestial Devastation, and Morbid Visions, all three Brazilian underground gems! To me, Schizophrenia is the ultimate death/ thrash experiment! I was inspired to take on the world and this recording shows my commitment is relentless! This one is for all the generations to enjoy! Play at Max volume!"

Brother Iggor also weighed in, 1987 was a very progressive year for metal, with releases like CELTIC FROST Into The Pandemonium, VOIVOD Killing Technology, and BATHORY Under The Sign Of The Black Mark, so it was no surprise on how we approached Schizophrenia pushing our boundaries from a black/death metal sound to a more thrash metal aesthetics. We still had some ideas from Morbid Visions and some new songs. I’m very proud of the songwriting and even more proud of our re-recordings.”

Serving the first selection from the refreshed project, Cavalera have delivered a modernized rendition of "Escape to the Void" - an entry that still retains the same raw horsepower that define the track all those years ago, yet translates as especially effective in the modern era. Paired with a powerful live music video edited and directed by Costin Chioreanu, the single harkens back to a time when the Brazilian metal pillars first set the world on fire.

Along with the confirmation of the new recording of the classic full length, Calavera will trek across Europe and the U.K. for the band's 'Third World Trilogy' tour. The trek will kick off on June 12th in Leichester and will make stops in Wroclaw, Oslo, and Barcelona before ending in Switzerland on July 21st.
