Buzzworthy aggressors Chained Saint continue to gain a swell of interest beyond the novelty of their age. While the band has landed on the radar of greater heavy music, given they are still in high school, the band's obvious homage to classic heavy metal is apparent in their sound and delivery in a way that is resonating with fans of all generations.
Another example of the band's embrace of modernity and timelessness, the latest single, "1000 Tons" follows the acclaim of their 2024 debut LP, Blindside and reiterates Chained Saint's promise, potential and raw musical power. Showcasing serious chops, the single asserts accents of thrash, power and classic heavy metal on a track that speaks to the core of Chained Saint.
"We are stoked to put out this new single to follow up our debut album Blindside," the band says. "We have been trying different things, and we're curious and excited to see what our fans think. This has been our most collaborative song so far as a band. Each member put their own individual stamp on all aspects from the music to lyrics and we're going to love playing '1000 Tons' live. Keeping in line with our previous recording process, this song was recorded to tape, but this time at Power Station Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida."
"1000 Tons" lands as the band prepare to hit the road for their first-ever headlining U.S. tour. The run will include a handful of festival stops, including performances at Rocklahoma, Louder Than Life and the Vans Warped Tour in Florida this fall.
