The latest single features co-writing credits by Dan Wilson of the alt rock band, Semisonic.
Chris Stapleton returns November 10th with his new album, Higher, the follow up to 2020’s, Starting Over. To celebrate the announcement, Stapleton has revealed the album’s first single, “White Horse.” Co-written by Stapleton and Semisonic’s Dan Wilson, the track is a bluesy rock anthem warning a lover that she might have a while to wait before he settles down. Higher is available for pre-order HERE.
“If you want a cowboy on a white horse riding off into the sunset/If that’s the kinda love you wanna wait for/Hold on tight, girl, I ain’t there yet,” he croons.
Stapleton, no stranger to crossing genres, wowed with his cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” on their Blacklist compilation album as well as guest appearing on Tom Morello’s latest album ‘The Atlas Underground Fire’.
Earlier this year, Stapleton showcased wowed audiences on a global stage, as he performed the National Anthem to open the Super Bowl. Currently, he is opening for George Strait, and leading his own headlining All-American Road Show tour.
Higher is due out November 10th. Pre-orders are available HERE.
