Extreme metal stalwarts Cradle of Filth have debuted an anthemic brand new track just in time for Halloween with the release of "Malignant Perfection".
The track lands as the band prepare to embark on their "By Order Of The Dragon" UK/European tour which kicks of October 27th in Bristol. The comprehensive fall/winter run extends into December with the tour closing on December 8th in Tilburg, Netherlands.
The arrival of "Malignant Perfection" serves as an homage to all things All Hallows Eve, showcasing a sinister, vampiric soundscape led by a commanding performance from the incomparable Dani Filth. Coupled with a lush new visual from Vicente Cordero, the track previews Cradle of Filth's forthcoming 14th studio album and their debut via Napalm Records.
The always articulate Dani Filth spoke of the new phase of Cradle of Filth, the latest clip from Cordero and how the single is indicative of the wave of momentum the band is currently riding.
"Our new single and video, 'Malignant Perfection’, is our horrific homage to All Hallows Eve, as embodied by the female deification of evil. It is a perfect musical accompaniment to the spirit of the witching season; invoking dark, Autumnal splendour and celebrating the time when the thin line between life and death is at its most tenuous and the denizens of the otherworld seek to break the veil into ours.
The video, directed by the imitable Vicente Cordero and featuring the creative masterstrokes of one Missy Munster, is a playground of seductive darkness rife with malicious monsters and cryptid creations, all vying voraciously for the viewer’s eternal soul."
Filth emphasized how the track underscores everything happening in the universe of Cradle at the moment. "This comes at a perfect juncture for the Halloween period and our ‘By Order Of The Dragon’ UK/European Autumn tour. It also arrives on the back of a sensational collaboration with massive fashion label Vetement and also Blackcraft Clothing, and in the fiery wake of a successful sold-out Australian tour."
Cradle of Filth begin the By Order of the Dragon UK tour October 27th. Butcher Babies, High Parasite and Black Satellite, are set to support for the stretch of dates with Mental Cruelty replacing Black Satellite for the mainland European dates.
