Metal stalwarts Darkest Hour have added to the groundswell of momentum behind their upcoming tenth studio album release, Perpetual | Terminal, due out net month via MNRK Heavy.
Having already shared the album's soaring scorching title track, the band's follow up single with "Societal Bile" reiterates their prowess as one of modern metal's most shred worthy practitioners.
Enlisting director Chad Fjerstad, the latest clip frames Darkest Hour in a no frills environment - showcasing only their dynamic live performance and their continued ability to craft dynamic, heavy music.
Guitarist Mike Schleibaum spoke about the weight of the track. "This song is for survivors," says Schleibaum.
"While we all have our own special survival story, this song touches on the bile that immerses us as we navigate this modern life. It's also an acknowledgment of the personal responsibility we all share to ourselves to reject all that attempts to consume us and fight each day to find our own space to exist in peace with a world at war. It's dedicated to everyone who's got that survivor's disease and won't ever give up."
Paired with the February 23rd arrival of the album, Darkest Hour will embark on a headlining tour that begins late February and closes out April 6th with a hometown set in Washington D.C. A full list of dates can be found below.
