Modern punks Destroy Boys have marked an emphatic start to their year with the first offering of new music in 2024. The pop-rock, power-packed single "Plucked" offers shades of post-punk influence, delivered with the band's sense of carefree, infectious levity. 

The track had landed with the kind of effectiveness that has already made it a prime selection for the Spotify Marrow playlist that launched March 13th. The carefully curated playlist features the streaming giant's 2024 class of Artists To Watch.

Working with producer Carlos De La Garza (Paramore, The Linda Linda’s, Best Coast), Destroy Boys have tapped into a refined level of songwriting that maintains the band's undeniable energy and vigor, while crafting the kind of pop-rock anthem that crosses divides of genre, preference, generation and beyond.

Speaking on the arrival of the single and the significance of the track, the band shared, “Plucked is an entry to a new era. It’s focused on freedom of expression and learning how to embrace your quirks. It’s ultimately just a little pop-rock banger. It’s super fun to play – we’re excited to play it live in future shows!” 

The release of "Plucked" precedes the band's annual Destroyfest set for March 16th at The Bellweather in Los Angeles.  The band's annual curated tradition featuring friends and likeminded contemporaries is now celerbating it's third installment. The 2024 lineup features Destroy Boys supported by Illuminati Hotties, Kumo 99, NIIS, Ultra-Q, Jigsaw Youth, Chokecherry & J-Mont in what amounts to wildly diverse, dynamic roster.
