Effectively bridging the sound of hip hop and deathcore, FILTH continues to champion their distinct brand of heavy built in North Carolina. The band's 2024 release, Southern Hospitality, would become a breakout success, propelled by the viral reach of the single "Chin Check" and a subsequent run of touring dates with the likes of Slaughter to Prevail, Lorna Shore, Chelsea Grin, and more.
Due to begin their Beasts of the East headlining run this March, FILTH has confirmed the arrival of their latest assault in their Welcome to Shelltown EP. A bulldozing show of sonic force, FLTH's combination of devastating heft and fluent lyrical flow make for a soundclash that is brimming with bravado and brutality.
Previewing the pummel set to be unleashed on the Welcome to Shelltown EP, FILTH detonate with their lates single, "Outta Pocket". A lumbering, locomotive track, the single underscores FILTH's belligerent sound, pairing weighty riffs, growling vocals and Dustin Mitchell's swift wordplay;
The EP's title is a nod to the band's hometown. explains guitarist David Gantt. "Shell Town is us leaning deeper into what shaped us, the music, the environment, and the mindset that came out of growing up in Shelby. This EP is a reflection of where we're from and why Filth sounds the way it does."
Ahead of the EP release, FILTH will set out on a their Beasts Of The East tour starting in March. Joining the run, Blackwater Drowning, Autumn Lies Buried, Comawaves, and Jawjacked have been confirmed as support. A current list of dates and cities can be found below.
